Mark is one of the UK’s leading orthodontists, qualifying in Dentistry in 1990 at the University of Wales College of Medicine Dental School.
After completing his study, Dr Vaughan returned to London to work in the Community Dental Service for 4 ½ years carrying out treatment on special needs patients, dental phobic patients, medically compromised patients and the elderly. This experience makes him first choice for many patients who experience anxiety when visiting the dentist or an orthodontist.
Mark held the positions of Senior House Officer and Registrar in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for 4 ½ years whilst working at prestigious organisations such as Oldchurch Hospital, The Royal London Hospital, University College Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Here he was responsible for carrying out treatments including extraction of difficult teeth, dentoalveolar surgery, hard and soft tissue facial reconstruction after trauma, head and neck cancer and orthognathic surgery.
Dr Vaughan established himself as one of the UK’s most experienced orthodontists having completed FDS RCS and being awarded Membership in Orthodontics at The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
His credentials as a leading practitioner were further enhanced in 2001 when he awarded a Masters Degree with Distinction in Orthodontics Orthodontics at The Royal London Hospital.
