Damon Braces FAQs
How long will my treatment take?
Damon Braces treatments are typically much faster than conventional braces treatments. Although the length of your treatment will depend on the severity of your case, it should take on average four to six months less than with traditional braces. You can expect to have your perfect smile within just a few months.
How often will I need to visit the clinic during my treatment?
Damon Braces require fewer visits than other orthodontic treatments. You will only need to visit the clinic every 10 weeks approximately.
Will the treatment be painful?
Damon braces use a sliding mechanism that reduces friction, and does not require tightening your appliance, as is the case with other orthodontic braces. As a result, the discomfort associated with Damon Braces is minimal.
Will I need to stop eating certain foods during my treatment?
It is recommended to stop eating foods that may damage your braces. That includes sticky and chewy foods such as liquorice, caramel and sweets, and foods that are crunchy or require biting into such as corn on the hob, apples, hard sweets and nuts.
