The treatment of children and fitting childs braces is a special case because they are still growing. We strongly recommend that a child's first visit to an orthodontic specialist takes place no later than age 7 if an orthodontic problem is detected. We have many years experience in providing childrens braces and specialise in the particular needs and concerns of young people.
Some early warning signs that may indicate your child should see an orthodontist include:
Crowded or misplaced teeth
Protruding teeth
Early or late loss of baby teeth
Thumb and finger sucking
Speech difficulty
Difficulty in chewing or biting
Grinding or clenching of teeth
Missing teeth
Signs of enamel wear

Interceptive treatment is performed on young, growing children with the intent of improving a poorly developing situation. This could either be a growth discrepancy such as misaligned jaws, severely overcrowded or protruding teeth or to correct harmful oral habits.
At Metamorphosis, we generally perform early orthodontic treatment with the objective of minimizing the future need for treatment for the patient and to provide the ideal environment for the permanent teeth to grow in to. Once this has occurred we can then use childrens braces to align all the permanent teeth to maximise their appearance and develop well orientated jaws, healthy bones and gums.

At first I had massive fangs and an overbite so I was given braces. I couldn't be more pleased with the results...now that I have perfect teeth!
