The Invisalign Treatment Process
The first step before planning your Invisalign treatment will be to have your orthodontist take an impression of your teeth. This will help determine whether Invisalign is the appropriate treatment to get your teeth straightened. If this is the case, your orthodontist will develop a detailed plan thanks to Invisalign’s 3D imaging technology ClinCheck®. ClinCheck will help visualise the projected movement of your teeth over the entire course of the treatment. That means you will be able to see how your teeth will look before your treatment even begins.
When your Invisalign treatment starts, you will wear a series of custom-made aligners that will be replaced every two weeks. Each set of aligners will move your teeth by small increments so that they move progressively towards the desired position projected at the beginning of the treatment. For best results, it is recommended to wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day and only remove them for eating and cleaning or for very special occasions.
